"Thank you program" to the supporters of "Songwriter Tek Tamang Sangeet Sanjh - 2082"

Kathmandu. The organizing organization, Songwriters Association Nepal, has organized a ‘Thank You Program’ to mark the grand completion of ‘Songwriter Tek Tamang Musical Evening – 2082’. The thank you program was organized on Saturday, Asad 21 at the Police Club Hall on Exhibition Road in the capital. The program was hosted by distinguished lyricist SP Koirala, who is also the former Finance Minister, while the president of Songwriters Association Nepal, Basanta Bityasi Thapa, presided over the program.

At the program, heartfelt letters of gratitude were presented to all those who supported the ‘Songwriter Tek Tamang Musical Evening – 2082’ program, including artists, members of the organizing team, sponsors, supporting hands, and the media.

The chief guest of the program, Koirala, said at the program – ‘Recently, when solo programs have become very rare, having a solo program in a packed hall, among distinguished personalities, has been a victory for the music industry. Moreover, solo programs for lyricists are even rarer. Even in this situation, it is very happy to have a solo program. He said that he was very happy to present letters of appreciation to the national jewels and renowned artists with his own hands. He further said – ‘People forget after the program is over, but here, even after the program is over, another program has been organized to express gratitude. This is a good culture.’

Similarly, the chairman of the program, Basanta Bityasi Thapa, the president of the Songwriters' Association, thanked everyone who played a tireless role in making the Songwriter Tek Tamang Musical Evening - 2082 a grand success. He said that the Songwriters' Association Nepal is a common forum for songwriters from all walks of life and classes, and that he and his organization will always be ready for the rights, interests and identity of songwriters.

The thank you program was conducted by Ramesh Koirala, vice president of the Songwriters' Association. Such programs are rarely held after the completion of the musical program.

'Songwriter Tek Tamang Musical Evening - 2082' was grandly concluded on Asad 14 at the auditorium of the Pragya Pratishthan in Kamaladi, the capital. The renowned singers performed 17 songs composed by lyricist Tek Tamang along with a live instrumental team. More than three thousand spectators enjoyed the musical evening at the event, which was attended by prominent figures from various bodies of the country.
