Kathmandu: Singer, model and media personality Sarita Bharti has released the music video for her new Teej song, ‘Bhijayo Fariya Barkhaile..’ The song, which explores the emotions, love, excitement and festive spirit of unmarried young women during Teej, has been released through Bharti’s official YouTube channel, SB Creation Nepal.
Blending the traditional essence of Teej with the emotions of the younger generation, the song features lyrics, melody and music by journalist and lyricist Suman Pandit. Madan KC has handled the music arrangement, while Suman Rana is credited with recording and Kumar Rana with mixing and mastering.
The music video features Sarita Bharti alongside Chadani Shrestha, winner of Beautician Talent Nepal Season 8, beauticians Smriti Subba, senior beautician Soni Karanjit, and beauticians Niru Shrestha, Bina Ranamagar and Manish Nepal. Child artist Wamika Jaiswal also appears in the video.
The video combines colorful Teej visuals, lively dance performances and a traditional festive setting, adding vibrancy to the song.
Om Prasad Prasai handled the cinematography and editing. Makeup was contributed by Bina Rana Magar, Shristi Maharjan, Radhika Jaiswal and Nandini Kumari Mali. The video has been produced by SB Creation.
The project features choreography by Sandeep Bhujel, photography by Badri Thapa, and direction by Dabbu Chhetri. Through its entertaining presentation, the video seeks to portray women’s emotions and the celebratory spirit of Teej.
Bharti, who has been active in the music industry for more than a decade, has released three Teej songs so far. Her previous Teej releases include ‘Rato Sari Larakkai’ and ‘Nachchha Bhane Nachna De.’
According to Bharti, the new song connects the feelings of unmarried young women with the joy of Teej, using a rain-soaked fariya (traditional sari) as a symbolic element.
“Teej is a festival through which women express their emotions, happiness and excitement. I have tried to present these feelings through the song and music video. The response and love from audiences so far have made me very excited,” Bharti said.
Following its release, ‘Bhijayo Fariya Barkhaile..’ has also begun attracting attention on social media. Viewers have particularly appreciated its lyrics, Bharti’s vocals, the artists’ performances and the traditional Teej setting.
Lyricist Suman Pandit expressed confidence that the song will gain further popularity among audiences during this year’s Teej festival.
