Kathmandu. Sanya Adhikari has won the title of 'Miss Universe Nepal 2025', the Nepal franchise of the globally recognized 'Miss Universe'. In the grand finale held in Lalitpur on Wednesday evening, Sanya was declared the winner, Arohi Basnet the first runner-up, Sonalisha Dhungana the second runner-up, Elina Yari the third runner-up, and Jyoti Thapa the fourth runner-up. A total of 14 contestants competed in the finale.
Winner Sanya received cash prizes of 200,000 as well as other gifts. Similarly, she will represent Nepal at the 74th Miss Universe competition to be held in Bangkok, Thailand on November 21. After becoming the winner, in a conversation with the media, Sanya also talked about the impact of recent Gen Z performances on the tourism sector in Nepal. She stated that she wants to send the message that Nepal is peaceful to foreign tourists. She mentioned that while representing Nepal at Miss Universe, she aims to promote not only the tourism sector but also various other aspects.
'Miss Universe Nepal 2025' national director Sangeeta Puri congratulated all the winners and expressed her belief that they will work to make the nation proud in the coming days. Global Glamour Venture has been organizing the Miss Universe competition in Nepal for the past few years.
