Kathmandu. Poet and lyricist Yubaraj Adhikari's second book, a collection of poems titled 'Yudha Yudha nai hunxa', has been launched. The launch was jointly held by poet Tulsi Diwas, poet Bishwabimohan Shrestha, film director Prakash Sayami and poet Adhikari under the chief guestship of Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Badri Prasad Pandey.
Speaking after the launch, Minister Pandey praised poet Adhikari's personality, satsang and association. Stating that poetry plays a role in taking society in the right direction, Minister Pandey said, 'War is wrong, deadly and destructive. War does not win anyone and war is not for the benefit of society. The collection of poems has given an example of how to walk on a positive path,' Pandey said.
Poet Tulsi Diwas openly praised Kavi Adhikari for coming with a poetic voice and saying that war is war. ‘Words are a more powerful weapon than guns, and poets have that word. It explodes no less than guns and bombs,’ Poet Diwas said – ‘There are poets who fight using words. However, the language of poetry should be a little more artistic.’
Poet Yubaraj Adhikari said during the launch that he wrote about the ups and downs of life. He said, ‘When I write, I don’t just write about myself. I have written about what I have seen and experienced in society. And my birthplace, Ilam, inspired me to write. ‘Literature, art, and life should be relative. There should be simplicity. Literature should be grounded. It should encompass the entire human life,’ said Poet Adhikari.
