National Lok Dohori Festival to be held in Tundikhel

Kathmandu. The 'National Lok Dohori Festival' is scheduled to be held in Tundikhel from April 9 to 10. For the recognition and promotion of Nepali art, culture and folk songs, DAR Mubhij is going to organize 'Rashtriya Lok Dohori Mahotsav 2078' (Cultural original fair with competition).

According to the organizers, the program will be held to showcase the local art and culture of different districts.

Organizing organization DAR Movies & Films had earlier organized the National Kanthe Lok Dohori Festival in 2076 BS. Cultural Tableau rally were held from 27 districts during the festival. The program held in Tundikhel in February 2076 was watched by more than five lakh spectators.

The organizing committee has claimed that more than one million spectators will watch the competition this time. Viewers will be able to watch the program at Tundikhel for free. Distinguished artists of folk and duet songs will participate in the cultural program with various honors.

The first place winner will get cash prize of Rs 500,000, second place winner will get Rs 300,000 and third place winner will get Rs 200,000 along with medals and certificates. On the last day of the program, there will be a presentation by DJ Tenzing.
