More than 3 thousand spectators attended a musical evening with a solo composition by songwriter Tek Tamang

Kathmandu. Lyricist Tek Tamang's musical evening has been grandly concluded. On Saturday, Asad 14, 2082, 25 instrumentalists performed live songs at the auditorium of Pragya Pratishthan in Kamaladi. One and a half dozen singers sang live at the 'Lyricist Tek Tamang Musical Evening-2082' organized by the Lyricists' Association of Nepal. The musical evening, which was chaired by Basanta Bityasi Thapa, President of Songwriters Association of Nepal, and hosted by Bairagi Kaila, former Chancellor of Nepal Pragya Pratishthan, made it difficult to handle the crowd of listeners and spectators. To facilitate the crowd of listeners and spectators present at the program, LEDs were placed outside the hall and outside.

The famous singers and singers performed focusing on the compositions of lyricist Tamang. 17 popular songs, both new and old, composed by lyricist Tamang were presented. Nepal Mero Ghar-Kiran Pradhan, Aama-Shiva Pariyar, Swarga Sukha-Devid Shankar, Mitha Mitha Boli-Rupak Chaudhary, Jittneharuko Pani-Satyaraj Acharya, Aafnai Dhadkan-Swarup Raj Acharya, Mana Parchha-Sangita Rana Pradhan, Aljhirahyo Yaad-Pradeepraj Pandey, Najik Yati Bhayara Pani and Janmikheli- Kankaist Rai, Timi Sagar-Sanjay Tumrok and Sumina Lo, Timilai Paraiko and Angaloma Berirahu-Anju Panta, Mero Khukuri-Sanjay Tumrok, Mathi Mathi Lekma- Reshma Bamjan, Jor Madalko Talaima- Ashmita Adhikari, Swarga Jhai Sailung- Prahlad Timilsina and Sumina Lo were presented. As the singers performed, the words 'Once more' echoed in the audience. The audience swayed along with the song.

A 25-member musical group under the musical direction of musician Ashok Kumar Rai directly supported the musical performance. In which Manohar Sunam was the violin coordinator, Shila Bahadur Moktan was the keyboard, and Bharat Budhathoki was the percussion coordinator. Mohan Krishna Dhali, Kishor Karki Dhali, Rabin Karki Dhali, Narayan Karki Dhali, Roman Budhathoki, and Bikashnath Yogi were on the violin. Similarly, Gopal Dev Ghatani and Dhan Bahadur Gurung were on the flute. Similarly, Kumar Maharaj, Meghraj Lungeli, Anil Thapa, and Poshan Gharti were on the percussion. Dev Rai, Sanjeev Limbu, and Dipesh Shrestha were on the guitar, and Sita Maiya Rahchal was on the sitar. Bharat Nepali was on the sarangi, and Bhupendra Rasaili was on the pad drum. Similarly, Rudra Pariyar, Purna Nepali, and Tej Tamang were on the brass.

Lyricist Tamang said that he believes that the Lyricist Tek Tamang Musical Evening will play an important role in support of the Lyricists' Association of Nepal and the Bhim Bahadur Phoolmaya Memorial Library. Welcoming the audience, lyricist Tamang said that although he has been formally on a musical journey since 2050 B.S., the musical evening has given him fulfillment. “I feel that my musical evening has become historic due to the presence of respected people, music lovers and well-wishers,” lyricist Tamang said. The chief guest of the program, former Chancellor of Nepal Pragya Pratishthan Bairagi Kainla, congratulated lyricist Tamang and said that the lyricist’s musical evening has become historic. Tamang, who is active in lyric writing, said that the songs have also succeeded in conveying the sentiment towards the motherland because he is also in an equally leading role in the security services.

Basanta Bityasi Thapa, the chairperson of the organizing organization and coordinator of the program management committee, said that ‘Tek Tamang Music Evening-2082’ will help inspire social empowerment and cultural promotion. Thapa said that he has been continuously active in establishing the moral, intellectual and copyright rights of the creators, encouraging and respecting the creators, and also organizing individual and group evenings to provide energy to the creators.

The musical evening of lyricist Tek Tamang, who is also an Additional Inspector General of Police, was attended by a large number of distinguished personalities from the fields of politics, literature, music, judiciary, business, education, administration, security agencies and others. The music video of the songs Soltini and Mathi Mathi Lekma composed by Tek Tamang was also made public at the program. The program was hosted by Dinesh DC, a "Friend of the world of sound", and the program was broadcast live by Sagarmatha Television.

A program management and coordination committee was also formed to conduct the program in a civilized, grand and cultured manner. The committee, which was formed under the coordination of lyricist Basanta Bityasi Thapa, who is also the president of the Songwriters Association, included Ashok Kumar Rai, Suman Pandit 'Bairagi' Tika Rai (Shiva), Kankaist Rai, Shashi Lumumbu, Sushil KC, Arjun Bahadur Ghalan and Gopal Chandra Rai.
