Kathmandu. Former Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has made his acting debut in the film. The shooting of the film 'Nametine Ghau' was done at the party headquarters in Chyasal on Tuesday.

His scene was shot for about an hour and a half. Production controller RJ Pranav Subedi informed me that he acted as a former prime minister in the film. Directed by Ramit Dhungana, the film is based on the story of an acid attack survivor.

Oli had earlier been informed that he would play the film. The Oli government had earlier issued an ordinance with a provision for strict punishment against acid attacks. The punishment for acid attack is imprisonment of up to 20 years and a fine of up to Rs 10 lakh.
