Kathmandu: The makers of the upcoming Nepali film Hali, scheduled for nationwide release on August 7, have unveiled a heartfelt new song titled "Kahabata Lyau Baba Pidabhulne Mutu".
The emotional track portrays a child's longing and deep remembrance of their father during times of hardship. It features the soulful vocals of Asmita Adhikari, lyrics by actor Pramod Deep, and music composed by Abhi Sunar.
Written and directed by Om Pratik, Hali carries a powerful social message, emphasizing that a single dedicated "Hali" (a traditional farm laborer) can inspire meaningful change in society.
The film is produced by Pooja Gurung and Jasmine Shrestha and stars Pramod Deep, Sujata Thapa, Bidya Karki, Saroj Khanal, Aruna Karki, Bishal Pahadi, and director Om Pratik himself.
According to the production team, the film's previously released promotional song, featuring well-known actresses, received an encouraging response from audiences. They are confident that this newly released emotional number will also resonate with viewers.
Produced in collaboration between Japura Films and Shubh Chirayu Films, Hali has been cinematographed by Rahul Rai. The filmmakers believe the movie's emotionally driven story and socially relevant message will leave a lasting impression on audiences.
