Buddhist Organizations Provide Relief Worth Rs. 5 Million to Bhote Koshi Flood Victims

Kathmandu: Buddhist organizations have provided relief materials worth approximately Rs. 5 million to flood-affected families in the villages of Thulo Syafru, Brabal, Thulo Bharkhu and Sano Bharkhu in Rasuwa, which were affected by the Bhote Koshi floods.

The relief distribution was jointly organized by three organizations associated with His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa Trinley Thaye Dorje Guru and His Holiness Shamar Rinpoche Guru—Shar Minub Monastery, Karmapa Shamar Nag Association, and Shree Karma Raja Mahavihar Sangha.

The relief package included food grains, clothing, solar panels, electrical equipment, medicines, and other essential supplies.

The devastating floods triggered by an avalanche in the mountainous region of Tibet caused significant human and physical damage along the Nepal–Tibet border as well as in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha and other areas of Nepal. The relief was provided to support families who were displaced from their homes and affected by the disaster.

Under the Nepal Flood Relief Assistance Program, a team led by Khenpo Tashi Woeser, Chairman of the Karmapa Shamar Nag Association, reached the affected areas with relief materials.
