Kathmandu. Actress and mountaineer Diya Pun has successfully scaled Europe's highest peak, Mount Elbrus (5,642 meters).
She reached the summit on the morning of June 10 with Tejan Gurung (Elite Expedition) and Russian guides Leon Atabiev and Edgar. The expedition was organized by Elite Expeditions Pvt. Ltd.
With this achievement, she has moved forward with her ambitious goal of climbing the highest peaks of the seven continents, in the “Seven Summits” challenge.
So far, Pun has successfully climbed four of the seven peaks: Mount Everest (Asia), Kilimanjaro (Africa), Aconcagua (South America), and now Mount Elbrus (Europe). Her upcoming goals include Carstensz Pyramid (Oceania), Denali (North America), and Mount Vinson (Antarctica).
Diya Pun carried the poster of the upcoming movie 'Eklo' and the Nepali flag with her. The movie 'Eklo', in which she is starring, is currently in the news. Just a few weeks ago, the movie 'Eklo' had set up a stall at Cannes to market the movie. After Cannes, the buzz about 'Eklo' has increased.
