Kathmandu. The Film Development Board has been provided with a state-of-the-art Red MX camera for the film museum it is planning to build. Board Chairman Dinesh DC received the camera. Receiving the equipment, Chairman DC said that this support is important in the campaign to collect and honor the historical journey of the film industry.

The board has rapidly advanced preparations for the museum with the goal of systematically collecting film heritage.

The cameras were provided by Rajat Budhathoki, the owner of Cine-Focus Production House, and led by cinematographer Purushottam Pradhan, who has been active for a decade and a half.

"The time has come to preserve the history, technology, and contributions of cinema not just on paper, but through documentation and equipment," said the DC.

The board has stated that the museum will preserve historical heritage, including old cameras, production equipment, posters, musical materials, screenplays, awards, and honors of Nepali films.

The provided camera was used to shoot films such as 'Mayaaz Bar', 'Chha Ekan Cha', and 'Ajai Pini'.

While presenting the camera, Budhathoki expressed his satisfaction at having helped preserve the history of Nepali cinema and inspire the new generation. "The film industry is our identity. It is everyone's responsibility to preserve its history," Budhathoki said.
