90s Music Returns to Dharan: From ‘Birsiyeka Yaadharu’ to ‘Tadha Jane Priyasi’, a Special Live Concert

Dharan: The musical memories of Dharan’s vibrant 1990s era are set to come alive once again with a special live concert featuring popular songs and artists associated with the city’s music scene.

Organized by Silver Entertainment, the “90’s Dharaneज Live Concert” will be held on Saturday, Ashoj 10 (September 26) at Vintage Bar & Club in Dharan. The event will feature performances by prominent artists from Dharan’s 1990s music generation, including Sanjeev Lama of Mix Melody Band, Manoj Mote of Jailers Band, Dilu Rai of Ojhel Band, and Rohit Maske.

The artists will perform some of their well-known songs, taking audiences back to the nostalgic era of Dharan’s music scene. Sanjeev Lama will perform songs including “Birsiyeका Yaadharu,” “Samjhanaharulai Angaldai,” and “Ghumdai Aunu Dharan Bazar.” Manoj Mote will present popular numbers such as “Tadha Jane Priyasi” and “Hamro Jeevan.”

Similarly, Dilu Rai is set to perform “Machhi Paryo Majhiko Jalaima” and “Umerle,” while Rohit Maske will perform popular songs including “Meri Mayalu” and “Chiso Chiso.”

The 1990s are remembered as one of the most active and creative periods in Dharan’s musical history. During the decade, numerous local artists and bands established distinctive identities within Nepali music.

According to the organizers, the concert aims to bring together representative artists and songs from that generation while introducing Dharan’s musical heritage to younger audiences. For listeners who grew up with the music of the 1990s, the event is expected to offer a nostalgic journey, while younger audiences will have an opportunity to experience an important chapter of Dharan’s musical history.

Silver Entertainment also said it is preparing to organize a musical tour across various cities in eastern Nepal following the Dharan event. The tour will focus on popular songs and artists from the 1990s and aims to introduce those memorable songs to a new generation.

With special performances by artists closely associated with Dharan’s musical identity, the “90’s Dharaneज” concert is being presented as a special evening of musical memories, nostalgia and reunion.
