7 journalists honored and awarded at the 26th anniversary of the Film Journalists Association of Nepal

Kathmandu. The Film Journalists Association of Nepal has held a national gathering with a special program at Shree Antu, a major tourist destination in Ilam, on the occasion of its 26th foundation day. In the two-day program organized on Jestha 7 and 8, various honors and awards were presented to seven journalists who contributed to film journalism.

Under the programme, on the first day, 'Cinema Dialogue', 'Media Brainstorming' and 'Award and Honor Giving Ceremony' were organized and on the second day, dialogue and interaction program on 'Cinema and Tourism' was conducted.

At the ceremony, Dhruv Lamsal was awarded the National Film Journalism Silver Award 2082 with a cash prize of Rs. 55,555, Bishnu Subedi, Narendra Basnet were awarded the National Film Journalism Award 2082, Jeevan Kumar Parajuli and Barsha Basnet were awarded the National Film Journalism Award 2082 with a cash prize of Rs. 51,000. Similarly, Rashmi Thapa was awarded the National Film Journalism Encouragement Award 2082 and Tulsi Prasad Niraula was awarded the Koshi National Mofusal Film Journalism Award 2082 (each with a cash prize of Rs. 25,000).

The ceremony was attended by Film Development Board Chairman Dinesh DC, senior actresses Vasundhara Bhusal and Gauri Malla, senior actor Shiva Shrestha, Artists Association Chairman Mohan Niraula, Directors Society Chairman Janakdeep Parajuli, producers Milan Chams, Prem Kumar Shrestha, Navin Shrestha, and many other distinguished guests and film journalists from across the country.

The gathering was organized by the Ilam, Jhapa, Morang, and Sunsari branches in coordination with the Koshi Province branch of the Film Journalists Association of Nepal.
